D library seems so peaceful. Reading for another upcoming SAT feels like I'm gonna make it this time compared to the other result... Had fun at the haunted house yesterday with some other guys and girls. It was as scary as hell.. The monsters and ghosts really gave me chills... D scariest part was the part where we had to enter a balloon and wore 3D glasses. I screamed like a baby.. Everyone even Mr. Hopkins was scared of the monsters too... Hoping to have interesting places to go this weekend.

Today went kind of fast.... in fact this whole week..... can still remember when it was sunday night, i was sad I was going to school the next day but the week has come to an end. Yemmy is really distracting me. I can't blog well..*shrugs*... wish the wind could blow her off my side right now..

Having to work for dona was really fun.. She is a very understandable and even though she always has a lot to do at times, she still gets them all done.I wonder how she does it. That evening which was on Thursday seemed a little boring at first because Dona was having a discussion with a parent and her daughter. We went to eat lunch which was so good I even had to take a picture of it, or them...

She had her conference with me and I told her where I was in my college process and she advised me on some other things. I wasn't happy with my SAT  score because I knew what I was capable of getting but God knows best, this is still my first time and I don't want it to weigh me down. Even my sister said so, wonder what I would do without her... Dona dropped me home and I was extremely grateful for her making my evening  nice one. I even met one of her friends Ms. Lisa, she was very friendly.

During the I think it was a convention, at first almost nobody was coming to the AVID table but I wanted people to come and learn much about AVID because I know what I have gained from it. So I began to call and attract people to our table, I let the shyness leave my spirit and I noticed that more and more people came to hear what I had to say and I was really glad that Dona was impressed.

 Today was kind of okay... School was looking somehow colorful because of the breast cancer awareness thing. A lot of people wore pink today. We wrote a bunch of Beowulf poems in English class, In AP Chemistry, we continued the Beer's Law lab when Erica tried to memorize her poem which she did pretty well in it. In Engineering class, Mr. Cepeda got me mad and asked me if I was giving him attitude after he saw how mad I was, people just annoy at times you feel like hitting them in the face but I got over that after some minutes. Gym class was the most interesting today, I played soccer not knowing I could play that well and mt team won. I scored a couple of goals. The only problem was that I got sweaty after the game. Tomorrow is the day my SAT result is coming out.. my hands are crossed!!.. I am so scared!.. Hoping it comes out well.

The video clip Dona showed us during AVID was cool....I got some good advice from it..
 Take responsibility, if you want to make it and take it to the next level, make up!.. You are in full control of your destiny. When you mess up, start up from the scratch to make up. Great people make up not make excuses.
If you have been chunky or on a chunky diet, don't give up!. Keep moving! It cannot take a minute to see results but at least 3 months or longer so do not be sad.
Don't be a victim but a victor, You can have whatever you struggle for...

Today was alright, my Paramedical Biology class went well, in my AP Chemistry class, Ms. Dudley wanted me not to participate in the lab of making aspirin but Erica came to my help and borrowed me her spare pair of snickers, this way I was able to participate in the lab for today. I completed some of the things on my checklist during third period which was AVID. We started a new topic in my TWA class with Ms. Russell, we did the unit circle, it was a cool but at times confusing topic. Today was not all that a perfect day but I still tried making the best out of it. I hope my weekend turns out to be good.

The College Seminar

The college seminar took place in the library this evening, I was so tired I wanted to sleep off and Yemi's cousin was about to leave us and there would be nobody to pick us up. Although today was a good day, it was also tiring. Having to wake up very early in the morning and getting home late at night is something I do not want as a part of my daily routine. In AP Chemistry, we started the experiment on how to make aspirin today, it seems cool even if my group's beaker leaked during the first step. In Engineering class, we are still working on how to construct the "Pratt Bridge".  I have done all the walls of the bridge and the floors too, the rest of the work I and Dedric are to do is to make the load of the bridge and all other stuffs. In gym class, I was the goalie for my soccer team, almost had my asthma attack but I took a few long breaths and I felt fine. Hoping tomorrow will turn out to be an awesome day......

My cousins just arrived from Nigeria and I am so happy to see them, it was funny when they realized that Nigeria was more fun than here. When I came from Nigeria, I thought that the US was like paradise but it is the same, the only difference is the accent. School went well today, no school for me tomorrow, this will give me more time to complete my applications now that I have collected my letters of recommendation. Wishing Peter the best of luck in his PSAT.

My letter of recommendation

I was so glad to have collected one of my letter of recommendations from Ms. Dudley. She is one of my best teachers and I smiled when I saw that she made good comments about me. I am still nervous about the SAT  I wrote on Oct. 1, hope it comes out well.

Today's chemistry class was awesome because we got to perform different experiments with acids, and determine the litmus color, and other things. Engineering class..*shaking my head*, I think I'll change it because I think my class is far behind all others. Gym was the best class today. We went outside to play flag football until I started having pains in my chest, my heart was beating three times the normal rate. I actually thought I was going to faint but I am glad I did not.
